Sync Checkpoint Validator
integration.sync_checkpoint_validate
Overview
You send a checkpoint with version, sourceId, cursorType OFFSET TIMESTAMP or OPAQUE, cursor, issuedAt and optional watermark and partitionCursors. Optional expectedSourceId, expectedVersion, expectedCursorType and an explicit now check expiry without a wall clock. secretCursor defaults to false; the cursor is fingerprinted, never echoed. This does not contact a source or advance the cursor.
A checkpoint from the wrong source silently skips or duplicates a sync.
Reliability
Deterministic checks; now is caller-supplied. CHECKPOINT_INVALID — trigger: a malformed instant or missing version; retryable: no; next: send ISO-8601 instants.
Context footprint
Fingerprint and diagnostics only. A successful call costs 1 execution credit.
When to use it
When a portable checkpoint must be checked before the next incremental pull.
When you need to contact the source or advance the cursor.
Scope
