Overview

You send UI text, a mode, and how placeholders are written. ACCENTED maps Latin letters and adds combining marks. EXPANDED does the same then pads to expansionPercent. BIDI wraps translatable runs with RLI and PDI. Nested ICU arguments stay copied verbatim. wrap surrounds the result with square brackets. This is not a translation. A successful call costs 1 execution credit.

Layout and placeholder bugs show up in accented, expanded or bidi text. A model cannot apply a stable transform without eating {name}.

Reliability

Same text, same mode, same syntax, same wrap, same ICU version, same answer. Malformed placeholders are not protected; the rest of the string is still transformed.

When you hold UI copy and need a deterministic pseudo locale that keeps placeholders.

When you want a real translation, or a verdict on existing bidi controls.
